The 2016 Poetry to Bridge Generations contest is now open. The submission deadline is September 30, 2016.
Elders aged 50 and older and Youth in grades 7 through 12 are invited to each submit 2 poems. One of the poems should be about how the world views or treats older people and one poem should be about how the world views or treats teenagers.

Format submissions for 8.5" X 11" paper with 1.5" top and left margins. In the upper right corner of each page, write "Elders Track" or "Youth Track," your full name, address, phone number with area code, email, and titles of your two poems.
The top three elder poets and top three youth poets will receive their prize and read one poem each at the Winners Celebration & Poetry Slam on Sunday, October 16, 2016. This event will be held from 1-4:30 P.M. in the Milo Bail Student Center, on the UNO Dodge campus at 6001 Dodge Street.
